Do volunteers get a free ticket?

Yes! Most volunteer positions come with a free or discounted ticket in exchange for a set number of hours. Each role has different requirements, but we’ll make sure the perks match the effort.

Can I apply for more than one role?

Definitely. If you’re interested in multiple areas—say, volunteering and performing—just let us know. We’ll try our best to make it work without overlapping schedules.

When will I know if I’ve been accepted?

We review applications on a rolling basis and aim to get back to folks within a few weeks of submission. Some roles fill quickly, so don’t wait too long to apply.

Do I need experience to volunteer?

Not always! Some positions (like First Aid or Media) need specific skills, but most roles are open to anyone with good energy and a willingness to help.

Can I still enjoy the festival if I’m working or volunteering?

Absolutely! We make sure everyone has plenty of time to experience the festival. You’ll work a few shifts, but you’re still part of the party.

What’s the vibe like for artists, performers, and vendors?

Supportive, creative, and full of collaboration. Whether you're painting live, playing a set, or selling your creations, you'll be surrounded by a community that lifts each other up.

Do vendors need to bring their own setup?

Yes! Generally, vendors should be self-sufficient and bring everything they need—tents, tables, displays, etc. We’ll provide space and basic info on setup logistics in advance.

What if I have to cancel after I’ve been accepted?

Life happens. If you need to cancel your Volunteer Pass, just let us know as soon as you can so we can find someone to fill your spot. We appreciate the heads-up.

How do I secure an RV spot?

To bring or rent an RV, you’ll need to purchase an RV camping pass in addition to your festival ticket. Spots are limited and tend to go fast, so we recommend locking yours in early!

Can I bring my own RV or do I have to rent one?

You can absolutely bring your own RV! If you don’t have one, we also work with trusted third-party rental partners—check our site for recommendations and delivery options.

Are hookups available at RV sites?

Yes! RV Parking With Power Hookups spaces include water, 30A power and a grey water dump. There is a black water dump station on-site for an additional fee to the State Park.

Are there quiet hours in RV camping?

Yes! Quiet hours are enforced at night to keep things enjoyable for everyone. You're still welcome to hang, just be mindful of noise.

Are there size restrictions for RVs?

The RV spaces are 24-25 feet wide and maximum length is 40 feet. If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out before bringing something oversized.

Can I run a generator?

We prefer you use the provided hookups but, if you must run a generator, it must be quiet and only used during designated hours.

Can I park my car at my RV site?

Most RV sites allow space for your towing or accompanying vehicle, but this will depend on your RV size. Spaces are 24-25 feet wide with maximum length is 40 feet.

Can my friends tent camp next to my RV?

If you have an RV Parking With Power Hookups pass, they can camp with you around your site. They may have a longer walk with their gear depending on where you park since all parking pass holders will be directed to the lots they purchased parking for.

If you have an RV Parking Without Power Hookups pass, they will not be able to. This space is in a large parking lot and there is no space around the spots to set up tents.

My group has multiple Car Camping passes. Can we park next to each other?

Yes! Just make sure you arrive together. The spots will fill up on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you would like to arrive at different times and still camp together, we would suggest purchasing one of our 80' x 80' or  40' x 40' Group Campsites.

What's the difference between Up-Front campgrounds and Car Camping campgrounds?

Up-Front campgrounds are located closer to the festival grounds but do not have showers located in them. You may walk to the showers though and use them.  No vehicles are allowed on the grass so you can not park your car at your campsite here. You’ll park in a parking lot adjacent to the campgrounds and carry your items to your spot. Keep in mind, You may hear music from your tents late night in the Up-Front campgrounds since they’re near the stages.

Car Camping campgrounds are farther away from the stages (typically ranging from a 5-20 minute walk, depending on where you camp). However they have campground showers in them for free and typically provide a bit more space at your campground. Additionally, all spots in the Car Camping campgrounds are directly next to your vehicle so you can park at the campsite. If your vehicle is part of your camping set up (your tent comes off your vehicle), you should go purchase a Car Camping pass.

Is my ticket refundable or transferable?

Tickets are not refundable. All ticket sales are final. Please review our refund policy at the bottom of all pages on our website.

Can I arrive early to the festival?

No, our gate times are strict!

Can I return my ticket through an official ticket exchange?

SSBD does not offer an official ticket exchange. Unfortunately, running an exchange would require significant resources in terms of personnel, technology, and customer service. We aim to maintain control over ticket pricing to keep the festival accessible and fair, and an official exchange run by third parties typically complicate this and offer legal complexities. For those who can't attend and wish to sell their tickets, we recommend using trusted personal networks or secure third-party resale platforms. We do not recommend purchasing from unverified people and we cannot verify tickets that are not sold on our official TIXR website.

How does RV camping work and what options do you have?

RVs are very welcome at SSBD. If you buy a parking pass for your RV, there is no limit on who can sleep at the RV.

If you're bringing an RV to Same Same But Different you have two options:

RV PARKING WITH HOOKUPS: Spaces are 25 feet wide, maximum length is 40 feet. This space includes a 30 amp power hookup for your vehicle and also a running water hookup and grey water dump for your vehicle. Black water dump located on-site nearby but not at your site. Campsite space is available around the RV to set up tents nearby if needed. These spaces are near showers and bathrooms with running water that are cleaned and maintained by the state park. Each RV space has its own grill / fire-pit and picnic table. If your friends want to camp with you they can. If your friends are bringing another vehicle they will need to purchase a separate parking pass depending on their needs. All RV and parking spaces are first-come, first-serve and cannot be reserved. No vehicles without this parking pass will be allowed into this lot.

RV PARKING WITHOUT HOOKUPS: Spaces are 24 feet wide, maximum length is 40 feet. Please keep in mind, this space is in a large parking lot. You can camp inside your vehicle however there is no space around it to set up tents. All RV and parking spaces are first-come, first-serve and cannot be reserved. No vehicles without this parking pass will be allowed into this lot.

RV DROP-OFFS FROM THIRD PARTIES: If you plan to use an RV delivery service, the SSBD guest with the GA/VIP wristband and the RV parking pass need to arrive with rental delivery driver. Once the RV is dropped off, the delivery driver and their vehicle are expected to leave the property (if they do not have a wristband and/or parking pass). RV delivery drivers are able to enter to pick up the RVs on Monday without SSBD guest present.
